Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, popularly known as UPPCS 2015 Exam is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
The UPPCS Prelims Exam consist of two compulsory papers- General Studies Paper I and General Studies paper II (Aptitude Paper). The papers shall be 200 marks each and of two hours durations. Both the papers shall be of objective type and multiple choice in which there shall be 150 and 100 questions respectively.
Syllabus for the UPPCS Prelims Exam:
PAPER – I: General Studies-I (200 marks, Duration: Two hours)
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian National Movement
- Indian and World geography
- Indian Polity and governance
- Economic and Social Development
- General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change
- General Science
PAPER- II: General Studies-II (200 marks, Duration: Two hours)
- Comprehension
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Decision making and problem solving
- General mental ability
- Elementary Mathematics up to Class X level- Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics
- General English up to Class X level
- General Hindi up to Class X level
UPSC PCS mains Exam Pattern
- The mains examination contains Compulsory papers and Optional subjects papers.
- The examination is Objective and descriptive type
- The examination is Four Compulsory papers and two optional subjects
- General Studies papers are objective type papers
- Remaining papers and optional papers are descriptive type

Duration of the Course at NAM Institute:
- Prelims only: 4 Months for students enrolled in Regular Mode (Mon-Fri) having 3 hrs classes daily while for those working professionals who can't attend classes regularly we provide weekend classes facility of 5 months having 5 hours classes on Sat & Sun.
- Written (Mains) Exams only: 4 Months for students enrolled in Regular Mode (Mon-Fri) having 3 hrs classes daily while for those working professionals who can't attend classes regularly we provide weekend classes facility of 5 months having 5 hours classes on Sat & Sun.
- Both Pre cum Mains : 8 Months for students enrolled in Regular Mode (Mon-Fri) having 3 hrs classes daily while for those working professionals who can't attend classes regularly we provide weekend classes facility of 10 months having 5 hours classes on Sat & Sun.
Note: we provide residential facilities separately for boys & girls at reasonable cost.
*New Regular Batch for Pre cum Main exams preparation is commencing from 11th & 18th January 2016 while weekend batch is starting from 9th & 16th Jan 2016.
