Eligibility criterion for PhD program
Different universities have distinct eligibility conditions thus there is not one specific criterion. Candidates need to stay check each universities' eligibility information through brochure individually.
Usually, it's an integral part to have a minimum of 50% marks in PG programme or M.Phil. Certain other conditions are also differently stated by universities such as some take 10+2 merit in consideration while some consider the score of undergraduate and post graduate programme. However, Entrance Test with a following individual interview is a must.
There is no central PhD exam. All universities conduct individual exams for entrance purpose. The process also includes a separate individual interview of the candidate where the research area of the student among other things are also discussed.
There is no specific time for entrance exam as different universities conduct exams all year round.
Several people consider PhD. program as the program for genius or the academicians. But as mentioned, it is just a myth and sincere efforts, competitive preparation is all that you need and professional coaching provides that PhD entrance is no child's play and required intensive study of the undergraduate and postgraduate program subject/specialization. In other words, the preparation requires in depth understanding and revision of 3+2 years of studies and this may be quite a handful. However, the coaching focuses at organized learning and practice of all concepts and one by one. Often when students prepare on their own, they cram up and lose track of the syllabus and end up taking in too much at once. But this practice is thwarted by the coaching professional who seeks to provide tips, tactics and knowledge on one concept at a time.
In depth learning is provided to candidates through programs that stretch over a period of six months. Those who are working professionals can take the classes on weekends and further pursue PhD entrance exam coaching at NAM INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES.
