The pay package is the best in government-owned schools. For instance, a teacher in central school teaching primary classes gets a starting pay package of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 depending on the class that he or she teaches. The government schools offer perquisites such as quarters and commutation and medical allowances.
But to qualify for teaching job in Central Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas you need to qualify CTET exam together with your NTT or B.Ed. qualification. CTET exam needs planned preparation as the pass percentage is very low. NAM offers specialised courses for CTET. A student can prepare for either only paper I or paper II both.
